Advent of Ascension makes various partial changes to vanilla Minecraft.

Gameplay changes[]

Health Display[]

Health Bar

The health bar seen ingame.

Health Bar Colors

All possible colors for the health bar. Each color indicates (from top to bottom):

Health
Missing health
Damage taken
Healing
Absorption effect
Health Boost effect
Poison effect
Wither effect
Freezing
Hardcore mode
Bleeding effect

The mod changes the display of health from a row of hearts to a bar display with a numerical value. Unlike the row of hearts, the health bar will stay the same size no matter how much health the player has. Pieces of the health bar or the entire health bar will change color under certain conditions such as getting healed, or inflicted by certain potion effects, etc.

The health display can be toggled in the Configuration to have it only show the bar, only show the numerical value, or revert it to the vanilla row of hearts.

Health cap increase[]

The health cap for entities is increased from 1024 (♥×512) to the 32-bit double limit: (2-2(-52))·21023
