When cast, the Ultimatum Staff sends a projectile straight towards the target location. If the projectile hits a target, it activates a unique process that lasts for 10 seconds:
- The target is teleported to face the caster, at a distance of 4 blocks.
- Both the caster and the target are frozen in place and inflicted with numerous debilitating potion effects for the duration of the ability. If either entity has the regeneration effect present, it is removed.
- Each game tick (1/20th of a second), the target and the caster take turns having their health reduced. Over time, the speed in which the health drops increases.
- Both the target and the caster continue losing health until either the caster backs out of the ability by taking a step, or the target dies. The target will always die before the caster, but the caster will also die if they do not back out of the ability before their turn.
Note: It is not possible to give either entity an advantage by using healing potions or damaging effects. All modifications to health are ignored for the duration of the ability, and entities with higher max health will lose health at a quicker rate to compensate for the difference.
