Obtaining[]
Structures[]
Torn Pages can be randomly found in different loot chests. Below is a table that shows what loot chests each entry is found in:
Torn Pages Entry(s) | Loot chests |

Usage[]
When used, Torn Pages display their contents. Torn Pages have a TornPagesEntryId
NBT tag that is used to determine which entry they contain. Valid IDs, as well as the contents of their entries, can be seen below. If this tag contains an invalid ID, or if it does not have the tag, using the page will do nothing. Torn Pages without the tag will also not display a tooltip.
After they are first viewed, the contents of Torn Pages become accessible from the Advent GUI's Lore tab.
Text[]
Landing page[]
"The torn pages appear to have been ripped from a book of some kind. It is written in a strange language, but after some work you are able to put it into a readable format in your own scribbled text."
Lessons (aoa3:lessons)[]
"and so we begin to form an understand the underlying mechanics in which we came to be. Not everything discussed thus-far is to be understood with absolute confidence, as large portions of it are educated guesses at best, but we have some confidence in its veracity.
At the very least we can sum up our current knowledge with the current key points:
- Other dimensions DO exist
- We don't yet know how to access them
- They have been accessed by humans in the past
- Dimensional travel is not safe
With that information in mind, we should begin investigations on the possibility of safe travel being the dimensions in an effort to understand as much as possible about them before the next great dimensional clash, whenever that may be.
There is growing concern however that this may not be within our reach. We've already lost one of our own, and we've only just hit the starting steps of this field of inquiry."
The Portal (aoa3:the_portal)[]
"in place today. We're quietly confident that this text will be the first successful one. When the rune slid into place it had a slight reaction, unlike all the previous attempts - as if it was resonating with the rest of the frame. The old stone panels we found seem to be the key, the magic flows through them in a way that makes it all work.
We'll attempt to activate the frame tomorrow morning. The key's power seemed to notice the newly constructed frame, perhaps some amount of its divine power sensing a potential? This whole exercise has us all questioning the theocratic implications of the physical manifestation of a divine power. Could Krasaun be more than just a legend? Although it's easily more plausible that we just don't yet understand the magic well enough to differentiate it from a divine power. Maybe we'll find out more if we can ever get this portal thing working.
I am personally curious about the impacts this may have on localised hyper-travel. The other teams working on the portal to the underworld seem to believe that a stable implementation of their designs would allow not only travel to that realm, but also a method to travel vast distances of our dimension with little to no side effects. This would be a monumental breakthrough, although I remain justifiably skeptical.
Regardless, tomorrow if all things go well I will be the first person to travel inter-dimensionally (at least in modern times), though I'm not sure my excitement justifies the decision to volunteer to be first."
Discovery (aoa3:discovery)[]
"could we ever have suspected that this was possible! Nevertheless, this discovery finally begins us on the path we have been hunting for decades. This is finally solid proof that dimensional travel is not only possible, but safely possible!
As for the dimension itself, it is even more intriguing than originally expected. It appears to be some form of dimensional garbage collector. There appears to be chunks of land pulled from different lands just dotted throughout an otherwise empty space. We are incredibly lucky that there seems to be some form of magical stasis here preventing us from suffocating in what appears to be empty space. These primary constructions are definitely intentional however, possibly built by some ancient civilisation or race, or possibly some higher power. There is intentional ornate architecture and still-working portals, which indicates an incredibly advanced and stable form of magic of which we can only dream."

We have had a few days now to catalogue our findings of the initial structures of this place, and there is definitely an overarching malevolence here. Despite its welcoming ornate designs, whoever or whatever created this place have taken advantage of the floating chunks of lost dimensions to host trials and challenges for visitors.
but given the stability of the magic we have seen here, I fail to see why it wouldn't still be operational.

This is it. We were inspecting some form of plinth we discovered in one of the centrally linked chambers, and one of my colleagues brought some sort of relic he had found lying nearby too close to it, and the plinth activated. Before we knew it, we were all teleported away to one of the dimensional shards floating through the void and immediately set upon by a monstrous beast. He killed almost all of us immediately, and has been slowly picking off the rest of us who managed to run and hide in the initial slaughter. I don't know if anyone else is left, and I don't know how long I can hide here before it finds me. Whatever these chambers were designed for, it was something far stronger than us."
Expedition (aoa3:expedition)[]
"I've set foot for the first time in another dimension; it appears to be a flaming hellscape filled with mutated animalistic creatures that fit well into the environment. Unfortunately it's as inhospitable as I expected prior to powering the portal, so I made haste on a makeshift shelter built into a cliffside
The creatures here are notably more dangerous than the creatures from my dimension, but nothing I can't handle. They are interesting though - the primary denizens seem to be some kind of animal-human hybrid, with a pig-like appearance. I believe there may be some relation to the old fables of 'hell' that we tell each other in stories.
I have noticed some intentional-looking structures in the foggy distance, which I'll be checking out in the next few days - are there even days in here? I'm not even sure if there's an equivalent of celestial bodies in this place. Something else to investigate, perhaps. Anyway, I'll be checking those structures out soon, as a matter of interest
If they are as intentional as they appear to be, it might be my first actual evidence of the Arc-ancestors' presence in a plane other than my own. That alone would be confirmation enough that I've made the right decision in chasing down this path."
Primitive (aoa3:primitive)[]
"primitive places I've ever seen. Luckily it didn't drain too much of the available energy to form the portal here, since there doesn't appear to be much in the way of usable resources.
The natives are animalistic and hungry, and none of them appear able to converse in any meaningful form.
I suspect I won't end up staying here long, perhaps just long enough to firmly rule out the potential for any useful materials
Regardless, I'm mostly just astounded that the portal sequence continues to work. The frame gives no indication of deterioration or failure and the key continues to remain stable even after imparting its signature onto the portal frame
Before I leave, I need to look a little closer into this skeletal horn object I was able to piece together from fragments of bones I found buried around. Its sound imitates an animal call I've heard before here
But I haven't yet been able to match its originating creature."
