The Nether is a fiery, hellish dimension.

In the mod, the Nether is considered a tier 1 dimension. Advent of Ascension adds several new mobs, two new structures, and one new ore to the Nether.

For more information on the vanilla aspects of the Nether, go to the Minecraft Wiki's Nether page.

Advent of Ascension adds a Nether Realmstone.png realmstone for the Nether, which can be obtained by submerging the player in lava and dropping a Blank Realmstone. The Nether Realmstone is optional, as the player can still access the Nether through the vanilla method. Using the realmstone will not apply the 8:1 portal conversion that the vanilla Minecraft Nether Portal has. The realmstone added by the mod will produce a portal made of Glowstone instead of obsidian.

The landscape of the Nether is cave-like, sealed off at the top and at the bottom by bedrock. It is covered in fire and lava and contains several steep cliffs, making it hard to navigate some areas of the dimension. Towards y = 31, there is a lava sea.

Nethengeic Pit.png Nethengeic Pit These are small dungeons that contain spawners that spawn Nethengeic Beasts. They generate between y = 25 and y = 35. HunterAtt.png The Nethengeic Beasts inside are Hunter mobs that cannot be damaged without a hunter level of at least 24.

Advent of Ascension adds 7 mobs to the Nether, two of which are Hunter mobs.
