Spinoledons are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in Precasia.
Spawning[ | ]
Spinoledons spawn naturally in Precasia. They will only spawn in Precasian Caves, Precasian Forest, Precasian Jungle, Precasian Plains, Precasian Savannah, and Precasian Tall Forest biomes at a Y level of 60 or higher.
Like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 0.
Behavior[ | ]
Spinoledons are aggressive, and will attack nearby players, player-owned mobs, and Deinotherium within 16 blocks of them without provocation. This vision range is reduced by 60% (6.4 blocks) during the night. Once a Spinoledon is aggroed to a target, or a player/mob aggroed them, they will continue attempting to attack until the target moves over 32 blocks away.
They attack by biting their target, dealing melee damage. If their target is too close for their head to reach towards, a Spinoledon will instead do a 'lunge' attack and stand upright while attacking with its claws.
Spinoledons will follow targets both on land and in water, and are capable of pathfinding around obstacles.
Spinoledons will also wander around less frequently during the night.
Spinoledons will restore health after killing animals. The amount of health restored is Target's max HP/10
.
Spinoledons have seven hitboxes; 6 green ones and one central white one. The player can attack any of them to do damage, however attacks on the front green one (where Spinoledon's head is) do 25% more damage then attacks on the other hitboxes, attacks on the 2 green ones behind the head (the ones that make up Spinoledon's neck) do 10% more damage, attacks on the green one behind the central hitbox (where the larger half of Spinoledon's tail is) do 10% less damage, and attacks on the back green one (where the tip of Spinoledon's tail is) do 25% less damage.
Spawning Skeletal Abomination[ | ]
If a Spinoledon is fully submerged in Tar and dies in it, a Skeletal Abomination will spawn in its place.

Bestiary Entry[ | ]
“ | A solitary hunter, the Spinoledon is one of a number of carnivorous creatures native to Precasia.
Because of its large size and voracious appetite, it tends to roam alone looking for prey to eat. Like most of the creatures of Precasia; it is mostly active during the day, and tend to slow down and rest at night. |
