Boss Information
Smash is the easier one of the two Overworld bosses in Nevermine. Although Smash can be fought fairly early into a player's adventure but should not be underestimated. Smash is considered the simplest of all the bosses in Nevermine. Smash can be spawned by using a Troll Idol. Smash can easily kill a player in just a few hits if not properly equipped. He can even one hit a player if they have no form of negating fall damage.
Behavior
Smash is a boss that hits very hard. Due to the size of his club, when Smash hits a player the player is launched into the air and backwards. Note: When Smash hits a player the player is sent very high into the air. The fall caused by Smash's hit may very well be fatal to a player if not properly equipped.
After hitting a player, Smash will run to an area near where the player is going to land. After landing, smash will begin pursuit of the player again. It should be noted that Smash moves a decent bit faster than the default walking speed, and he can easily chase a player.
The severity of how high Smash hits a player is increased depending on how low Smash's health is. The maximum height of a hit is much higher than the lowest possible height.
Smash is completely immune to knockback.
If Smash misses his charge, he will circle around and charge again.
Strategies
It is highly recommended that players wear Alacrity Armor or Amethind Armor when fighting Smash. Both will completely negate the damage from the fall of Smash's hits. However, there are other ways to negate fall damage in AoA that may be easier than getting the Alacrity Armor or Amethind Armor. One of these ways is the Gravitator, another way is the Lunar Armor if you have found a Terrestrial.
Additionally the player should get a Tablet of Speed, so that the player can avoid Smash's attacks, while also be able to range attack him at a smaller risk. A ranged weapon such as the Blood Iron, Krilinator, or similar gun is recommended. Also the Speed Bow is very useful for him.
Another strategy is to use water buckets to save yourself from dying from the fall damage although you have to be very accurate and is not a reliable strategy for most players.
If you would like to fight this boss cheaply you can spawn him and jump on a 2 block high platform where he can't hit you or you could fight him under a ceiling. An example of a cheap battle scene is fighting it in a Savana, Jungle, or Forest Biome, as the trees can give you time to regenerate some health.
