File:VitalityIcon.pngCalefaction

Calefaction levels can be gained by smelting items in a furnace. While standard smelting will still yield experience, smelting ores yield a considerably larger amount of experience. You can only get the experience if you manually drag the smelted item into your inventory; the experience is lost if the player puts it directly into his inventory with shift + click. When your Vitality resource bar is high enough, it gives the player a crit chance depending on the level. The critical damage stacks with vanilla minecraft critical, and while it normally only affects melee weapons, ranged weapons can be given the critical chance while wearing the Calefaction Armor. The critical chance and damage for levels are:

Level 1 - 2% chance, 130% damage

File:ExpeditionIcon.pngExpedition

Expedition grants short but useful speed boosts randomly and reduces fall damage. Expedition levels are gained when the player is sprinting or riding on a mount (the latter gives slightly more experience).

Every 600 ticks (30 seconds) that the player is sprinting for, there is an (Expedition level)/100 chance that the player will get a short speed boost, paired with the chat message "You feel the wind carry you beneath your feet." Also, when the player's Expedition level is greater than 10, any fall damage they take will be reduced by a decimal multiplier. The reduction grows the higher the player's level gets. This fall damage reduction is very useful for exploring dimensions with several cliffs and overhangs such as Crystevia or Greckon. The fall damage multipliers are:

Level 10 - 0.95

Level 20 - 0.9

Level 30 - 0.85

Level 40 - 0.8

Level 50 - 0.7
