Scolopendis are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in Precasia.
Spawning[ | ]
Scolopendis spawn naturally in Precasia. They will only spawn in a Precasian Caves biome at a Y level of 50 or lower.
Like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 0.
Behavior[ | ]
Scolopendis are aggressive, and will attack nearby players and player-owned mobs within 16 blocks of them without provocation. Once a Scolopendis is aggroed to a target, or a player/mob aggroed them, they will continue attempting to attack until the target moves over 32 blocks away. They attack by biting their target, dealing melee damage.
Scolopendis will follow targets both on land and in water, and are capable of pathfinding around obstacles.
When a Scolopendis is aggroed onto something, it runs faster than its normal walk speed.
When a Scolopendis attacks a target, it has a 1 in 10 chance to inflict them with Nausea I for 20 seconds.
Scolopendis have three hitboxes; 2 green ones and one central white one. The player can attack any of them to do damage.

Bestiary Entry[ | ]
“ | Scolopendis is an arthropod insect of fear-inducing proportions, typically found in the damp undergrounds of Precasia.
Its large size and carnivorous nature gives it a penchant for eating other large creatures, using its enormous pincers to bisect victims before gradually eating through the corpse. Its bite can occasionally include a mild nerve agent that causes dizzyness and confusion for a short time, but is otherwise mostly harmless. |
