Thermal Bar | |

Version added | 2.0 |
The Thermal Bar was a resource system added in 2.0. It added a temperature mechanic to the mod, where going too long without keeping warm would cause freezing damage. It was removed in 2.1 due to its unpopularity, with Vitality taking its place.
Information[ | ]
The Thermal Bar had a value that updated every tick. This value had a minimum of 0 and a maximum of 200. Going below 50 would begin to cause freezing damage, but there was no effect when keeping it any higher. As a result, being too warm was not dangerous.
The primary way to keep the Thermal Bar up was to stay near fire and lava blocks. Whether or not the Thermal Bar increased or decreased otherwise was mostly determined by location through multiple per-tick rules. All of these rules were checked at once, having their values added together. Additionally, some food items could increase the Thermal Bar, and some mobs could decrease it on hit.
The Thermal Armor would disable all per-tick rules. However, it did not cause the bar to increase on its own. Food items could still be used to increase temperature when wearing the armor.

Effects[ | ]
Going below 50 would cause 2 (×1) of freezing damage every 4 seconds. This damage would bypass armor. To accompany this, an ice screen effect would be applied when the thermal bar was below 50, with a thicker version being applied when at or below 30.
The Thermal Bar had no effects when outside of the freezing range.
