A rune shrine was a special structure that generates across several dimensions. It was used to train the skill Runation, as well as allowing the player to craft runes out of Unpowered Runes and Charged Runes.
It was removed in 1.16.5-3.6-Public Alpha.
Generation[]
Rune shrine structures generate in the sky of several dimensions. The following chart lists the dimensions the different rune shrines can be found in:

Lunar Rune Shrine[]
A rune shrine variant for Lunar Runes does not exist. Lunar Rune Posts can instead be found inside a Zal Ship.
Structure[]
Rune Shrines are 7 block long, 7 block wide structures which consist of four Rune Posts at the four corners and one Rune Shrine block at the center. Each different variant has other blocks and decorations built into the structure.

Each rune shrine structure has its own individual id that can be used to spawn in a structure with the right command or a structure block.
