Headless Hunter are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.
Spawning[edit | edit source]
Headless Hunters spawn naturally in most biomes in the Overworld.
They will only spawn during the night, or in places with a light level lower than 8. Their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Headless Hunters are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.
They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.
Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.
Skull Drops[edit | edit source]
When a Headless Hunter kills a player, there is a 5% chance that the player's head will drop in the form of a skull block.
Drops[edit | edit source]
|The above pool is rolled 1 time.|
Experience[edit | edit source]
Headless Hunters drop 4 experience when killed.
