Disambig This article is about the removed skill. For the new skill with the same name, see Hauling.

Hauling is a skill themed around fishing.

Overview[ | ]

To increase the Hauling skill, the player has to fish with a fishing rod.

In Minecraft, there are three different types of fish catches - fish, junk, and treasure. Whenever the player obtains a "fish" item while fishing, there is a 1 in 3 chance that the item will instead be from the Hauling loot table, and the player will obtain it and gain Hauling experience. Junk and treasure items are not replaced. As a result of this replacement, Hauling items are entirely independent of fish/junk/treasure categories and thus are not affected in any way by the Luck of the Sea enchantment.

The player can obtain different items from Hauling depending on their skill level. Upon obtaining an item from the Hauling loot table, the player will be given experience based on the item they pulled up. (If the item is not from Hauling the player will not get any experience.)

As the player's level increases, the player will be able to pull up more kinds of fish. In addition, the player will also be able to pull up special cases as the level increases. The level to be able to obtain certain fish, the amount of experience granted per catch, and the weight of certain fish are listed in the table below:

  1. Because Raw Fish can still drop as a vanilla Minecraft fishing drop, not all Raw Fish will give the player hauling experience.

Once the player reaches level 100, the player can wear the Hauling Armor.
