Ghostly Bugeyes are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld during the Soul Scurry event.
Spawning[ | ]
Ghostly Bugeyes spawn naturally in all biomes in the Overworld.
They will only spawn during Soul Scurry events, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.
Behavior[ | ]
Ghostly Bugeyes are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.
They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.
Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.
Unique Abilities[ | ]
When a Ghostly Bugeye successfully attacks a player, it will apply a screen effect, partially blocking the player's view. This will wear off after 7.5 seconds. It will also drain 10 Soul Power from the player on hit.
Immunities[ | ]
Ghostly Bugeyes are completely immune to ranged damage. This includes bows and thrown weapons, but not Guns or Blasters. They are also completely immune to gun damage. This includes gun sub-types, such as Snipers, Cannons, and Shotguns. Additionally, they are completely immune to melee damage. This includes all variants of melee damage such as Greatblades and Tools.
