The Formation Staff was a staff added in 1.1.
It was removed in 3.0 due to its immense griefing potential.
Obtaining[ | ]
The Formation Staff could be obtained as a drop from the Formation Staff Totem.
Information[ | ]
Upon use, the Formation Staff would immediately create a 12x12x12 cube of air around the user, removing any blocks in that area. These blocks would not drop as items. Indestructible blocks such as Bedrock were also removed.
The direction the user was facing was irrelevant to the cube's positioning. From the user's location, the cube extended:
- 4 blocks north and 7 blocks south
- 4 blocks west and 7 blocks east
- 4 blocks down and 7 blocks up.
After each use, the staff would lose 18 points of durability, regardless of how many blocks were actually replaced.
The Formation Staff would fail to work in the Ancient Cavern and Immortallis.
