Death Hunters are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld during the Death Day event.
Spawning[ | ]
Death Hunters spawn naturally in all biomes in the Overworld.
They will only spawn during Death Day events, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.
Behavior[ | ]
Death Hunters are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.
They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.
Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.
Hunter Mob[ | ]
Death Hunters are Hunter creatures that can only be damaged if the player is at level 3 or higher. When killed, they will grant 11.4 Hunter xp.
Like all hunter creatures, Death Hunters will not be aggressive towards players that do not have the required Hunter level to attack. If spawned by a spawner block, they will be aggressive as normal.
