Bloodmists are hostile melee mobs that spawn during the Bloodhunt Event in the Overworld.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Bloodmists spawn naturally in all biomes in the Overworld.

They will only spawn during Blood Hunt events, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Bloodmists are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.

They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.

Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.

Unique Abilities[edit | edit source]

When a Bloodmist successfully attacks a player, it will drain 40 Energy from them.

Hunter Mob[edit | edit source]

Bloodmists are Hunter creatures that can be killed at any level. When killed, they will grant 9 Hunter xp.
