Nethengeic Curse is a harmful status effect that causes fire damage to convert to magic damage for entities with the Fire Resistance effect.
Information[ | ]
Nethengeic Curse on its own does not do anything, but will impact entities that also have the Fire Resistance effect. When inflicted while Fire Resistance is applied, any damage type with the properties of fire taken is converted to magic damage, effectively 'overwriting' Fire Resistance's effectiveness.
The amount of magic damage taken is fire damage * ((x-1) * 0.5 + 1)
. X is the level of Nethengeic Curse, and cannot go lower than 1 or higher than 8 within the (x-1)
formula. E.G. since Lava deals 4 (×2) fire damage, it would instead deal 6 (×3) magic damage with a Nethengeic Curse level of 1.
Milk cannot be used to remove Nethengeic Curse, but an Enchanted Golden Apple can be used instead.
