The Lottoman is a passive NPC that spawns in various dimensions.

Spawning[ | ]

Overworld & Nether[ | ]

Lottomen spawn naturally in the Overworld, Nether, and any other worlds that are not marked as a 'superflat' world, and is affected by the doTraderSpawning gamerule.

Mechanics[ | ]

Note: All of the below highlighted values are configurable via a datapack in the roaming_traders.json file.

Every 12000-36000 ticks (10-30 minutes), the game will attempt to spawn 1 roaming npc near each currently logged-in player.

For each player, the game will look for a nearby safe spawn position between 20-64 blocks away and attempts to spawn a roaming trader. If the spawn position is free from obstructions and safe, the trader will spawn and a delay of 8000-12000 ticks (6.67-10 minutes) will be added to the next round of spawns. Every successfully spawned trader will add to the delay, further pushing back the next round.

Precasia[ | ]

Lottomen will spawn inside Precasian Lotto Hovel structures in Precasia.

Behavior[ | ]

Like all other roaming NPCs, Lottomen roam freely throughout the Overworld, and can only despawn once 40 minutes pass after first spawning. Their despawn can be prevented by naming them using a name tag.

Trades[ | ]

Lottoman uses trading mechanics similar to vanilla Minecraft trading.

Bestiary Entry[ | ]

A strange wandering trader. Curiously, he seems entirely uninterested in talking, lending a hand, or combat. Instead, he focuses exclusively on peddling his wares to passers-by.

They are part of a large group of 'lottomen' that suddenly appeared across all known dimensions. Not much is known about them or where they came from, and due to their lack of open discussion, not much more info is being discovered. They appear to be human, or at the very least; humanoid. Additionally, they all dress and act identically, in a cult-like fashion that is often quite unnerving.

Their short, blunt responses and thick mysterious circumstances lend a sinister vibe to their appearance, but so far nothing has come of their existence except for an increase in gambling.
