List of bestiary entries[ | ]

Entity Entry
Ancient Golem "Presumably created by an older civilisation, these constructs appear to be a primitive version of the more modernised Iron Golems.

Despite being an older variant of a more modern technology, they are equally as capable as their newer counterparts, and in some ways still even surpass them. Their alloy is significantly more resilient than an Iron Golem's, and their actuated appendages enhance their already hefty attack strength. Contrastly however; their movement speed is quite a bit slower and almost entirely negates their threat.

It's believed they were originally used as workhorses more than combat drones, which would explain their enhanced strength and durability."

Attercopus "Small, arachnid creatures that are primarily found in caves and the underground. They have no issue identifying threats in the dark due to their trained set of eyes.

Their rather large stinger is its primary attack vector, acting somewhat like a scorpion in quickly dosing its target with a lingering poison.

They are normally found in small groups and packs, and can quickly overwhelm their victims.

Despite mainly being found underground, they have been found on the surface of the desert at night, presumably as they dig their way out looking for more to eat."

Bomb Carrier "With great power comes great responsibility. Someone should have probably told that to the Bomb Carrier. This particularly careless goblin has somehow managed to find his way into a stockpile of explosives.

While it would be nice to say there's a purpose to his madness, the unfortunate truth is that he's just destructive for the sake of being destructive. Maybe his parents should have raised him better."

Bush Baby "If you were to describe what happens when you combine a Furby with a slime before jamming it full of leaves and throwing it on its head, you'd give Bush Babies at a shining example.

These deceptively short creatures appear as though they would hang around high-density jungles and trees, preferring to use their appearance to blend into nearby leaves and shrubs. Normally they are only found around jungles or jungle-esque areas, but they have also been seen around Leafy Giants specifically, but it is unsure whether this is coincidental or if there is some kind of relationship involved.

Despite their short stature, they are incredibly fast on their feet, and love using this to their advantage to be a general nuisance to who-ever they feel like. Avoid them entirely until you are ready to defend yourself from a pack of these impish nightmares."

Charger "One of the most adaptable birds in the overworld. Chargers are a known pest species of large flightless birds that seem intent on flocking towards potential attackers with no regard for safety.

Their long legs and flexible frame allows them great speed and mobility when running across land, beating out even some speedy quadrupeds. The good news is that their mobile prowess is easily offset by their inherent fragility. If confronted by one, it's usually not too hard to dispatch with a few well-aimed hits.

Despite this, it is still worth taking caution, as their high speed and sharp beak can quickly overwhelm unsuspecting victims. "

Chomper "Chompers are large quadrupeds with very powerful forelimbs, which they use primarily for very quick movement through both water and on land. Being amphibious, Chompers are happy to live either on land or in the water, however do need to stay hydrated in order to survive.

Chompers will defend their land aggressively, attacking anyone who may approach them. Their two large tusks ensure that whoever they bite will not be getting away easily."

Corrupted Traveller "The Corrupted Traveller is an ill-fated explorer from an unknown time, trapped in an incorporeal state.

Through his rambling writings and much research it seems that he was once an adventurer that stumbled across a method of interdimensional travel, and spent much of his time travelling across the planes, documenting his experiences.

The circumstances in which he was afflicted with his current condition is unknown, but through his most-recently dated journal it can be inferred that he encountered something or someone that frightened him enough to destructively shut down his own portal frame and attempt to make re-use impossible. Attempts have been made to communicate with the traveller but his affliction prevents anything more than trance-like ramblings.

Other journals of his have been found scattered throughout the planes, which have revealed slightly more and contributed much to modern research on the various creatures and worlds encountered, but there is still much more to learn.

He can always be found adjacent to his destroyed portal frame, as he seems physically incapable of being separated from it."

Cyclops "An otherworldly creature, no-one is really sure where Cyclops originate from. What is known is that they can be found mostly in dry or dead areas, and aren't afraid to make their presence known.

They will attack at will, motioning very similarly to what you would expect from a human. There are currently no known instances of communication with a Cyclops, so it is recommended just to avoid them where possible."

Deinotherium "Calmly roaming the Precasian lands, these quadrupedal animals love nothing more than to live a peaceful life and eat some leaves.

They tend to be found in packs, occasionally with young offspring staying close.

Despite their large size and sturdy frame, they are skittish creatures that often resort to fleeing or just outright panicking when threatened.

They are particularly fond of Lucalus Leaves, seeking them out to eat quite frequently."

Dryad Sprite "These little magical nymph creatures dwell in the ground and plants, hiding away until they're ready to jump out and surprise whoever or whatever may be standing nearby.

They are crafty creatures, often using tricks to get their way or serve whatever purpose they may be seeking, and are known to vanish in anger at the slightest inclination.

Dryad Sprites specifically seem to like hiding in crops and other harvestable plants and jumping out at unsuspecting farmers, ready to play a game. Use the correct type of hoe on them based on the signal they give, and they might reward you."

Dunkleosteus "These enormous aggressive fish inhabit the oceans of Precasia, casually roaming in search of food.

Their general demeanor and body structure appears to indicate somewhat of a relationship to standard sharks, and their heterocercal tail fin does help confirm that theory.

While generally found slowly roaming the ocean, they are quick to react and have excellent senses, able to sense and track prey from a long distance. They then utilise this to approach at a deceptively rapid speed, quickly using its strong jaw to inflict a substantial amount of damage in every bite."

Elite King BamBamBam "This oversized swine is an evolutionarily gifted variant of the Piglin-kin residents of the Nether.

Like all Piglins, it has a particular interest in gold items, its obsession often to its own detriment.

Its unusual size does give it a proportionately impressive strength and fortitude, to which it uses in consuming certain gold items, somehow using them to gain back lost vitality. The mechanism through which it does this is unknown.

Despite being part of an infamously short-tempered species, it is unique in that it doesn't seem overly interested in direct combat. Instead, it summons helper monsters to do the fighting for it whilst occasionally throwing out lazy magical fireballs.

This particular creature is notable as being adorned with some additional gold and noticeable colourations. Observations show that these variants are particularly powerful, and often serve as a sort of 'leader of leaders' - with even the other ordinary King BamBamBams deferring to them when in conflict."

Elite Nethengeic Wither "Nethengeic Withers are the abomination that occur when a Wither is infused with the essence of a Nethengeic Beast.

They are an extremely rare occurrence, probably due to the rarity of the Wither itself combined with the isolated nature of the beasts. Not much more is known about them due to both their rarity, and their intensely aggressive demeanor, but it is generally accepted that they are not naturally occurring creatures, but are purely constructions of fused essence.

Regardless, much like either of its counterparts; it is extremely dangerous and any time spent in its proximity is time spent peering into the finality of death. Run, while you can.

This particular creature was magically enhanced by unknown means, giving it much greater strength, abilities, and intelligence."

Elite Smash "A large, brutish troll that once roamed the Overworld, Smash died off of natural causes many years ago. Recently however, a method has been discovered to bring back Smash in all his former glory, by artificially creating a totem which embodies his spirit.

No-one is really sure how this works, and studies are ongoing to try and discover the reasoning behind this miraculous occurrence, but to date no leads have been found.

Due to his very large size and strong muscles, Smash poses a very dangerous threat to any creature it targets. He carries a large axe with him that he uses as a heavy weapon to great effectiveness. His high strength and weapon of choice make a formidable opponent, and blows from Smash often result in hilarious situations such as being thrown dozens of meters to your death.

This particular creature was magically enhanced by unknown means, giving it much greater strength, abilities, and intelligence."

Embrake "This volcanic lizard is a native to the Nether, thriving in its molten shores.

Its hard scales and reinforced skin offer excellent heat-resistance leaving it almost entirely unharmed by the intense temperatures of its home.

As if to further prove its harmony with the fires of the Nether, its primary method of both offense and defense is to breath out a steady stream of particularly intense flames."

Flamewalker "Flamewalkers are aggressive, tormented beings that are more of an elemental than a living creature.

Its skin is molten to the touch, proving far too hot for most creatures to approach - not that anything should be approaching it to begin with.

It uses its mastery of heat to generate flame geysers under the feet of its targets, imbuing the flames with small amounts of magic to inflict nasty magical burns and torching its victims. On their own, their slow attack is usually somewhat harmless as long as the victim isn't caught unaware. The real danger occurs when encountered in its commonly-occurring small groups, where the compounded flames offer serious danger to anything they set their targets on."

Ghost "Ghosts are spirits of long-dead creatures or people that have for some reason or another not moved on past this plane of existence.

While not much is known about the afterlife or the process of death itself, the existence of ghosts and their confirmed origin do lend credence to the theory of some form of reality post-death.

Regardless of the implications however; Ghosts themselves tend to be hostile, with an incorporeal form that leaves them immune to most status effects. Their translucent appearance also makes them hard to spot in brightly lit areas, which can make them even more troublesome to those not paying attention."

Goblin "Goblins are generally considered a pest by most landowners and explorers, and are generally mostly well known for their destructive, provocative tendencies.

While technically a humanoid, Goblins are entirely unrelated to the human species, and evolved separately. Regardless of this, they have evolved some sort of primitive intellect, and are able to communicate with each other.

They are known to be aggressive for no other reason than their limited intelligence, but thankfully they aren't of much danger since they possess limited-to-no weaponry and no real attributes of note."

Horndron "A large, bulky, cattle-like creature, Horndrons are rough looking animals that are known for their ability to survive in the harsh wilds of Precasia despite being open prey for other, more aggressive creatures.

They tend to roam in packs, and it's not uncommon to find young calves plodding along beside them. They seem particular to Calab Grass, often chasing after it when presented to them even to the detriment of their safety."

Ice Giant "A hulking giant seemingly made entirely from ice, this monstrosity can be rarely found wandering around the coldest of wastelands, ruling as king of the food chain in the area.

They don't like to compete for territory with others of its kind, nor do they work together well, so you will usually only see them in solitary isolation.

Despite their enormous size and incompatibility with other Ice Giants, they are generally not inclined to attack at random, and instead only hunt for food as necessary, or in retaliation if attacked first. Don't assume this means they are lacking in the combat department however, as they are more than capable of wiping out even the most prepared invaders if provoked."

Infernal "A towering beast that stumbles its way through the planes of the Nether, looking for things to step on.

Its body is made of a molten blend of dense rock and magma, which technically makes it more of an elemental than an actual creature.

When it slams its fists into the ground, it imparts immense heat, immediately converting the nearby landscape into magma until it cools again"

King BamBamBam "This oversized swine is an evolutionarily gifted variant of the Piglin-kin residents of the Nether.

Instead, it summons helper monsters to do the fighting for it whilst occasionally throwing out lazy magical fireballs."

King Charger "King chargers are much like normal chargers, with the exception that they're significantly larger, wear a crown, and rule the roost.

Avoid these at all costs, as their increased stamina, strength, and speed is enough to challenge any unprepared adventurer.

Their natural Charger instincts are present, and they will attack in much the same way normal charges will. Additionally, a threat to them is considered a threat to the nest, and so it won't take long for nearby Chargers to show themselves and aid their king."

Little Bam "Little Bams are hellishly modified Piglins, having undergone some sort of magical transformation to warp them into their current form.

Given the realm of the Nether that they live in, it's not clear exactly what process caused the transformation, but it's believed to be some form of natural occurance.

Their diminutive stature gives them a quicker speed, and their warped form gives them a very noticeable instability that seems to relentlessly torture them until their final release. When this does occur, they prefer to do so in style, with a sizeable explosion released from some sort of internal power buildup."

Leafy Giant "Relative of the Wood Giant; Leafy Giants are enormous woodland monstrosities that roam leafy forests and take control of the local food chain.

They appear to be the same species of creature as Wood Giants, with a random mutation at birth causing them to grow natural foliage on their bodies. It is not known why this occurs.

They are not aggressive by default, except when hunting, but they will aggressively defend themselves if provoked. Provoking them is... not a good idea. They seem to form a magical bond with Bush Babies, which causes them to eject themselves from the giant's foliage and attack anything they feel like. If enraged enough, they will active some form of magical ability that keeps them near-invulnerable once the Bush Babies have left their nest, forcing them to be faced first so that the magical bond can be broken and the protection removed."

Lottoman "A strange wandering trader. Curiously, he seems entirely uninterested in talking, lending a hand, or combat. Instead, he focuses exclusively on peddling his wares to passers-by.

They are part of a large group of 'lottomen' that suddenly appeared across all known dimensions. Not much is known about them or where they came from, and due to their lack of open discussion, not much more info is being discovered. They appear to be human, or at the very least; humanoid. Additionally, they all dress and act identically, in a cult-like fashion that is often quite unnerving.

Their short, blunt responses and thick mysterious circumstances lend a sinister vibe to their appearance, but so far nothing has come of their existence except for an increase in gambling."

Meganeuropsis "Don't like loud buzzing, fast moving wings, and grabby insect feet? This ancient dragonfly-predecessor is probably best avoided then.

Directly comparing Meganeuropsis to more modern dragonflies is a rather apt way of describing what this creature is and does. While it is significantly larger than its more recent cousins, it follows basically the same behavioural patterns. Because of that, there's not a lot of interesting information regarding this creature, besides the fact that it is quite large in terms of insects."

Nethengeic Beast "An alien abomination of fire and magic, this monstrosity is one of the fiercest creatures in the Nether.

Its hulking form is an amalgamation of the fire and lava of the Nether it lives in, and an otherworldly composite that makes up its bones, in the shape of an intimidating monster.

Despite its intimidating form and impressive power, it's not at all aggressive unless provoked. It's suspected that these beings are not strictly natives to the Nether, and instead were created during the last great dimensional clash through a spike of magical energy. Nevertheless, they are a devastatingly dangerous creature that should not be provoked at any cost."

Nethengeic Wither "Nethengeic Withers are the abomination that occur when a Wither is infused with the essence of a Nethengeic Beast.

Run, while you can."

Opteryx "A large avian creature that has the characteristics of both a bird and a reptile.

It sports large primary claws and talons, but they seem to be used mostly for gripping tall structures as they're a particularly timid animal.

Despite being timid, they are primarily carnivorous, and subsist almost exclusively on the flesh of prey.

Its deceptively strong wings enable it to take flight at will, even when carrying a substantial amount of weight."

Sand Giant "A huge elemental-like creature dripping in sand and rock, this monster seems to be made from the sand itself rather than the rocks, and instead has picked up rocks in its travels to offer additional structure.

They are usually only found in desert-like areas, and are almost always spotted wandering alone.

While not inherently aggressive, they will retaliate viciously if provoked, creating traps from its own and environmental sand, trapping and impaling enemies with relentless abandon. It is recommended to let these creatures roam in peace, to save a slow and painful death."

Sasquatch "Slow, brutish, and seemingly unintelligent, Sasquatches are a commonly seen creature that roams throughout forests and woodlands. Their slow movement is handily balanced by their physical strength, and taking one on physically may prove a challenge.

They have trouble recognising friend from foe, and have been known to attack humans because of this. Be aware of their presence and avoid if possible. Additionally, though they seem to lack intelligence, they have been known to carry primitive tools from time to time - however not much is known as to why."

Scolopendis "Scolopendis is an arthropod insect of fear-inducing proportions, typically found in the damp undergrounds of Precasia.

Its large size and carnivorous nature gives it a penchant for eating other large creatures, using its enormous pincers to bisect victims before gradually eating through the corpse.

Its bite can occasionally include a mild nerve agent that causes dizzyness and confusion for a short time, but is otherwise mostly harmless."

Silverfish "Silverfish are small, skittish insectoids that make their homes inside stone and stone structures. Doing so offers them natural protection from the elements and predators, and allows them to fit natively into almost any environment.

They are only aggressive when disturbed, but they attack in swarms, and if any nearby Silverfish detect one of their brethren being harmed, they will jump out and assist.

They are quite weak individually, and often a glancing blow is enough to take one down - making even moderate sized swarms fairly manageable"

Skill Master "An enigmatic being, the Skill Master is found in the utility room of the Nowhere world hub.

They do not communicate, and instead just offer to trade skill-related items for Archaic Tokens, a currency seemingly native to Nowhere. It's not known if Skill Master has any knowledge of or relation to the previous inhabitants of the area, but their interest in Archaic Tokens specifically indicates at least a formative knowledge of the dimension's history."

Smash "A large, brutish troll that once roamed the Overworld, Smash died off of natural causes many years ago.

His high strength and weapon of choice make a formidable opponent, and blows from Smash often result in hilarious situations such as being thrown dozens of meters to your death."

Smilodon "Prehistoric ancestors of the more modern tiger, these large quadrupedal creatures put their powerful legs to great use as they sprint across open ground to run down

even the most agile prey. Once they reach their target they will pummel them into the ground and then feast on the remains.

Like most of the creatures of Precasia; it is mostly active during the day, and tend to slow down and rest at night."

Spinoledon "A solitary hunter, the Spinoledon is one of a number of carnivorous creatures native to Precasia.

Because of its large size and voracious appetite, it tends to roam alone looking for prey to eat.

Like most of the creatures of Precasia; it is mostly active during the day, and tend to slow down and rest at night."

Stone Giant "An over-sized stone elemental that rules the mountaintops of the Overworld. Finding one of these awe-inspiring creatures in the wild is a rare opportunity, given their solitary nature.

Standing well and truly above the head of any human, they use their large tough bodies as a form of intimidation, to great effect.

They are not known for acts of aggression, however they will defend themselves vigorously if attacked, and will happily chase down fleeing victims.

It utilises its incredibly tough body to resist incoming attacks, which it does both as a form of defense, and in effort to protect its little friends. Stone Giants appear to allow Silverfish to hide away inside its body, presumably as a means of protect and safe habitat. Once disturbed, they will jump out of the giant's body and help their protector fend off the attacker until successful. They can also return to the giant's body to assist with repairing its stone body, which further increases its deadliness."

Tree Spirit "Tree Spirits are a unique creature, being neither plant nor monster; rather some blend in-between.

They occur when a burst of Kronic energy is released in a small enough form-factor that it can wholly penetrate a healthy tree. Upon doing so, the tree comes to life, gaining a kind of sentience of its own.

Despite its sentience, it doesn't seem too interested in much besides just having a peaceful existence. If attacked, they release pseudo-magical sprites that hunt down the attacker in an act of defence, before going back into hibernation.

Notably, they are particularly vulnerable to fire-based damage as would be expected of their heritage."

Tyrosaur "An incredibly bulky and tough creature from the Precasian wilds, this beast is so rarely seen naturally that it is often considered to be extinct.

Specialised horns were once developed to generate a sound that is known to attract any if they are nearby, though they are only known to historians as none have actually been found.

Tyrosaur has incredibly strong armour plating which it puts to great use in preventing most damage, and anything attempting to take one down would have to find a way to break through before they would have any hope of winning a fight. Additionally, they were known to have some form of magical or sonic resonance with the ground and soil, as it is said they were able to easily manipulate the ground underneath it to devastating effect for either defence or offence. Outside of those distinct features, Tyrosaur is a fairly typical bulky quadruped that is generally territorial and direct confrontation should be avoided, though sightings should be reported to any Cae'alu representative you know."

Undead Herald "An ancient undead entity, cursed to roam the dimensions for eternity.

These heralds are citizens of a long-lost civilisation that established outposts across many dimensions, roaming to establish their faction's dominance. An unfortunately too-effective protection magic originally cast over them to protect them from the varied environments has left them unable to rest, trapped in a never-ending campaign of relevance.

The Undead Herald will trade various banners for coins, with the available stock depending on the dimension they are found in. The banners themselves serve no purpose, and appear to be purely for decoration.

They don't appear to have any actual use for the coins, with the transaction remaining as a reminder of the herald's original purpose."

Veloraptor "A small, agile hunter creature that aggressively hunts in packs and has an unending appetite.

Veloraptors are usually found in small groups roaming open plains or forests and jungles looking for prey to eat.

It uses its sharp teeth and claws in rapid attacks that can quickly bring down even the toughest of beasts. Watch out for their leap, as it can catch prepared adventurers unaware.

Like most of the creatures of Precasia; it is mostly active during the day, and tend to slow down and rest at night.."

Void Walker "An alien and almost eldritch-like being, these bipedal creatures hide in the darkness of the deep underground, roaming the caves and caverns in wait for prey.

They often have shards of Amethyst embedded in their skin, which it is believed they use as both a form of defense and offense.

Their special hide is useful as a crafting material due to its strength and resilience - if you can manage to obtain some."

Wood Giant "Wood Giants are presumably the result of a tree waking up and attending the gym while taking steroids. Not that anyone has ever seen a Wood Giant in a gym, but what else could explain their gigantic frames and bulky limbs.

Regardless, they are solitary creatures that roam the forests of the Overworld, dominating others in the area and maintaining their rule over the trees.

They seem capable of both growing and discharging their wood-like skin at will, to devastating effect on attackers. They keep a heavily-fortified and resilient form of wood armour over their body, which acts as an incredibly effective damage mitigation technique. Once sufficiently broken down with blunt-force damage however, they will violently eject the layer towards the attacker, causing intense lacerations that can easily cause a victim to bleed out. They will then begin to regrow the layer over time, restoring their natural protection and increasing their survivability."

Yeti "The alpine equivalent of the Sasquatch; the Yeti is a fairly simple-minded bipedal creature that can be found in snowy areas of the Overworld.

There's not much to say about the Yeti, as it seems to just roam around at leisure, enjoying the cold."
