King Chargers are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.
Spawning[ | ]
King Chargers rarely spawn naturally in the Overworld. They can spawn in any biome with the exception biomes tagged as neoforge:no_mob_spawns.
They will only spawn during the day, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 0.
Behavior[ | ]
King Chargers are hostile mobs that will target players and player-owned mobs from up to 16 blocks away. Once they lock onto their target, they will pursue the target until the target is dead or the target moves over 40 blocks away.
When a King Charger is running after its target, it will run faster than its normal walking speed.
Charger summoning[ | ]
King Chargers can periodically summon other Chargers to aid it in battle. As long as the King Charger is targeting something, the King Charger will spawn a Charger every 4 to 7 seconds. The Chargers will be spawned somewhere 30-39 blocks away on the x and z axis, and 0-9 blocks away on the y axis. The variant of Charger that is spawned will be the same variant that can spawn naturally in the region that the King Charger is in - with the exception of having a follow range of 70 instead of 30. Any Chargers spawned by King Charger will not drop any items nor experience.

“ | King chargers are much like normal chargers, with the exception that they're significantly larger, wear a crown, and rule the roost.
Avoid these at all costs, as their increased stamina, strength, and speed is enough to challenge any unprepared adventurer. Their natural Charger instincts are present, and they will attack in much the same way normal charges will. Additionally, a threat to them is considered a threat to the nest, and so it won't take long for nearby Chargers to show themselves and aid their king. |
