Horndrons are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.


Horndrons spawn naturally in most biomes in the Overworld.

They have a low spawn chance and will spawn much less frequently than most other mobs.

They will only spawn during the day, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.


Horndrons are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.

They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.

Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.

Bestiary Entry[]

A large, bulky, cattle-like creature, Horndrons are not creatures you'd like to run into in an alley. Their primal instincts cause them to charge at unfamiliar creatures, with the intent of either impaling the target on their horns, or using them to toss the target over their head.

If encountered, it is recommended to take cover behind solid objects and run as far as possible so that it stops chasing you.
