Fishix are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.

Fishix spawn naturally in water in swamp-type biomes in the Overworld.

They will only spawn during the day, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.

Fishix are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.

While they do try to avoid water, Fishix retain their full movement speed if they do go into it. This makes them harder to escape then other mobs.

They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.

Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.

Bestiary Entry[]

The source of many myths and legends, the Fishix is a true monster of the swamps. Its origin is unknown, but it does seem to live solely in swamps and similar areas. They seem to take great joy in scaring nearby creatures and travellers, and can often be found hiding just beneath water level before popping up and scaring a creature, using seaweed and mud to its aesthetic advantage.

Its very muscular body can make it a real threat in the even that you find yourself facing one. Its brute strength gives its swings enough force to deal serious damage, despite an absence of claws or other sharp appendages.
