Extraction is a skill trained by mining and smelting.
Overview
Training
Extraction can be trained in two ways: mining blocks, and smelting items.
Mining
The player will get Extraction xp when the player mines any block with the following tags:

The amount of xp given depends on the player's current Extraction level and the block's hardness value; blocks with higher hardness grant more xp when mined. The following special cases also exist:
- Xp amount will be doubled if the block mined drops an item other than itself.
- Xp amount will be increased by 1.5 times if more than 2 items are dropped from the block. This stacks with the doubled amount in the first bullet point.
- No xp will be given if the block is a non-generic shape.
Smelting
Whenever the player smelts an item and grabs it out of the Furnace/Blast Furnace's output slot, the player will receive xp for each smelt based on the player's current Extraction level. All items give the same amount of xp except:
- items tagged with the forge:nuggets tag give 1.5 times more xp than normal.
- items tagged with the forge:ingots tag give 2 times more xp than normal.
- items tagged with the forge:gems tag give 2.5 times more xp than normal.
Shift-clicking an item out of a Furnace/Blast Furnace will also increase the amount of Extraction xp gained.

| Harvest Speed Boost | 25 | Press the Ability Action keybind while mining to activate a temporary mining speed boost, consuming your Energy at 34 per second, reducing by 0.27 per level |

| Bonus Crafting Output | 39 | Increases crafting output of any items tagged as 'minecraft:planks' by 50% |
