Elite Smash is a stronger version of Smash with increased stats and various behavioral changes.

Spawning[ | ]

Elite Smash can be fought by using a Gold Smash Trophy on a Boss Altar.

Behavior[ | ]

Elite Smash is aggressive, and will attack nearby players and player-owned mobs within 64 blocks of him without provocation. Once Elite Smash is aggroed to a target, or a player/mob aggroed him, he will continue attempting to attack until the target moves over 100 blocks away.

Elite Smash is a melee attacker who can swing with his axe and slam the ground with it, along with two abilities - a charging attack and a belly drum ability that grants him various buffs. Unlike Smash, Elite Smash does not only alternate between the charge and belly drum, and can use them in varying orders.

When Elite Smash is attacking something, he will run faster than his normal walk speed.

Axe swing[ | ]

If Elite Smash's target is very close to him, he will attack them by swinging his axe, which can be dodged by moving out of range before he finishes swinging. This attack disables shields on hit. Elite Smash swings his axe faster than Smash.

Axe slam[ | ]

If Elite Smash's target is close to him- but not close enough to be in the distance of the Axe swing attack, Elite Smash will instead use his Axe slam attack. This involves Elite Smash slamming his axe down to the ground, causing AoE damage to targets within a 5-block radius. The Axe slam will ignore Shields.

When Elite Smash does an Axe slam, he will not be able to do it again for 1.25-5.25 seconds.

Charge up[ | ]

Occasionally, Elite Smash will charge in a direction at a high speed. Before Elite Smash begins to charge, he will warm up by standing still and rotating his left arm a few times. Once he finishes warming up, he will hunch over and charge in a direction towards his target. Elite Smash is capable of turning while charging and moves at a slightly faster speed when charging compared to Smash.

Any targets Elite Smash hits will be damaged and knocked back, regardless of whether or not the mob was Elite Smash's intended target. If Elite Smash doesn't hit anything, he will stop charging if he either collides with a wall or travels a short distance. He will not be stopped or slowed down if he hits a mob.

Once Elite Smash uses the charge up, he will not be able to use it again nor be able to do a belly drum for 7.5 seconds.

Belly Drum[ | ]

Occasionally, Elite Smash will beat his chest. When this happens, Elite Smash will gain Speed I, Resistance II, and Strength V for 5 seconds each. He cannot attack while doing this.

Once Elite Smash uses the belly drum, he will not be able to use it again nor be able to do a charge up for 7.5 seconds.

Enraged form[ | ]

When Elite Smash's health falls below 30% of his maximum health, he will enter an enraged form. When entering this form, Smash's damage will increase by 95%, armor will increase by 90%, and armor toughness will increase by 110%.

Elite Smash will also enter his enraged form (regardless of health) if he cannot find a path to his target for too long.

Once Elite Smash becomes enraged, he will not revert to normal, even if healed.

Aggressive axe slam and running away[ | ]

If Elite Smash's target stays out of reach for a short period of time (e.g.: by hiding in a place where Elite Smash cannot reach), he will immediately enrage. He then has a 20/21 (95.24%) chance to use a more powerful axe slam attack. This involves Elite Smash slamming his axe down to the ground, causing AoE damage to targets within a 4-block radius. This radius is measured from the target, not Elite Smash, so they will get hit unless they jump. The Aggressive axe slam will also ignore shields.

He also has a 1/21 (4.76%) chance to instead run 40 blocks away from the target.

Other abilities[ | ]

Elite Smash can walk over blocks and obstacles up to 1.25 blocks high.

Elite Smash cannot be pushed.

NBT info[ | ]

Elite Smash's enraged form is controlled by the Enraged NBT. Setting this value to true will allow the player to spawn Elite Smash in his enraged form (with commands) without having to trigger it manually. However, spawning an enraged Elite Smash this way will not give Smash the extra buffs he normally receives when enraged, it will only change his appearance. Setting Enraged to any other value other than "true" will spawn a non-enraged Elite Smash.

Bestiary Entry[ | ]

A large, brutish troll that once roamed the Overworld, Smash died off of natural causes many years ago. Recently however, a method has been discovered to bring back Smash in all his former glory, by artificially creating a totem which embodies his spirit.

No-one is really sure how this works, and studies are ongoing to try and discover the reasoning behind this miraculous occurrence, but to date no leads have been found.

Due to his very large size and strong muscles, Smash poses a very dangerous threat to any creature it targets. He carries a large axe with him that he uses as a heavy weapon to great effectiveness. His high strength and weapon of choice make a formidable opponent, and blows from Smash often result in hilarious situations such as being thrown dozens of meters to your death.

This particular creature was magically enhanced by unknown means, giving it much greater strength, abilities, and intelligence.
