Dimensional Tiers are a mechanic within Advent of Ascension.
Overview[ | ]
Dimensional tiers represent how far into a path a dimension is. Although similar concepts have vaguely existed since the beginning of the mod, 3.2 made them official and balanced weapon stats, rewards, and dimension difficulty around tiers.
Information[ | ]
Tiers are not shown or mentioned in-game outside of being inferenced from the Realmstone GUI. However, they are the benchmark for deciding difficulty and reward quality. Higher tier dimensions will have stronger enemies and weapons, but better rewards.
Tiers are determined as follows:
- The Overworld is Tier 0.
- A dimension's tier is one more than that of the highest tiered dimension that must be visited to reach it.
As dimensions are on independent linear paths, tiers are very straightforward.
Tier table[ | ]
The below table lists the tiers of all dimensions. A column, when read from the top down, represents a dimension path.
Tier | Dimensions | |||||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Tier 0 | Overworld | |||||||||||
Tier 1 | Creeponia | Nether | Lelyetia | Deeplands | Barathos | Precasia | ||||||
Tier 2 | Vox Ponds | Mysterium | Abyss | Celeve | Haven | Crystevia | Iromine | Gardencia | Candyland | |||
Tier 3 | Runandor | Greckon | Dustopia | Lunalus | L'Borean | |||||||
Tier 4 | Shyrelands |
Although not part of any path, The End is considered Tier 2.
Nowhere is considered tierless.
Weapons[ | ]
Weapons are tiered based on the highest tier dimension that must be visited to make them.
