Dexterity is a skill based around running and jumping.

Overview[]

Training[]

Dexterity can be trained by running, jumping, or by landing vanilla critical hits. The amount of xp gained from each of these activities depends on various factors:

  • Running: xp gained from sprinting depends on how far the player sprints.
  • Jumping: xp gained is determined by whether or not the player is sprinting while jumping. More xp is gained when the player sprint jumps.
  • Vanilla critical hits: xp gained depends on the damage the player does.

The player does not receive xp right after completing the above activities. Instead, xp for the skill is awarded automatically once every 10 seconds.

Xp will not be earned under the following circumstances: if the player is in Creative or Spectator mode, or if the player is riding a mob. Xp will also not be earned from running if the player moves 1 block per tick or faster.

Abilities[]

The following Dexterity abilities grant xp when used:

  • Double Jump

Dryad Sprite[]

Giving the right type of hoe to a Dryad Sprite will reward 500 Dexterity xp.

Nowhere parkour[]

Clearing a Nowhere Parkour course will reward Dexterity xp, the amount of xp depends on the tier of the course:

Note: Because all skill xp gain is halved in Nowhere, the values displayed here are what's seen in-game instead of what they are internally.

Abilities[]

Leveling Dexterity grants access to the following abilities:

Ability Unlock level Description
Attribute Modification 5 Modify the Movement Speed attribute by 0.2% per skill level
Fall Damage Reduction 15 Reduce fall damage from falls up to 10 blocks high by 0.85% per skill level
Jump Boost 25 Increases jump height by ~25% + 0.4% per skill level
Attribute Modification 40 Modify the Movement Speed attribute by +5%
Attribute Modification 50 Modify the Swimspeed attribute by 0.3% per skill level
Fall Damage Reduction 60 Reduce fall damage from falls more than 10 blocks high by 0.5% per skill level
Jump Boost 70 Increases jump distance when sprinting by ~25%
Attribute Modification 80 Modify the Movement Speed attribute by +5%
Double Jump 90 Allows for a second jump without touching the ground at the cost of 20 Energy
Level Restriction 100 Gives access to the following for Helm of the Dextrous: Equip/Wear
