Cyclops are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.
Spawning[edit | edit source]
Cyclops spawn naturally in most biomes in the Overworld.
They will only spawn during the day, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.
Behavior[edit | edit source]
Cyclops are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.
They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.
Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.

Cyclops drop 8 experience when killed.

|“||An otherworldly creature, no-one is really sure where Cyclops originate from. What is known is that they can be found nearly anywhere, and aren't afraid to make their presence known.
They will attack at will, motioning very similarly to what you would expect from a human. There are currently no known instances of communication with a Cyclops, so it is recommended just to avoid them where possible.
