Version | 1.1 |
Barathos is a barren desert-wasteland dimension.
Overview[ | ]
Barathos is a tier 1 dimension, and is the first in a chain of two dimensions. From Barathos, the player is able to access Iromine.
Accessing[ | ]
The Realmstone to Barathos is obtained by defeating a Husk while the player holds a Blank Realmstone.
Properties[ | ]
Barathos has a sun in its sky, but it does not move, instead staying stationary in one spot. Respawn anchors and beds both work in Barathos, the latter can be used despite the fact that it is always day in the dimension. Clocks do not spin wildly, but because the sun never moves they are not functionally useful. Maps function normally.
Darkness does not exist in Barathos; the inside of all caves and enclosed spaces is completely lit up 24/7 as if the player had Night Vision.
The player cannot place water with a bucket while in Barathos, similar to the Nether.

Generation[ | ]
The terrain of Barathos consists of rugged hills made of Baron Stone, with a layer of Baron Ground on the top. The only notable features that appear on the surface are structures and small rock formations; the surface otherwise is very barren. No trees or plants appear in Barathos.
While the surface is mostly empty, the underground is more busy. Caves, similar to Overworld caves, stretch from the surface down to the bottom of the world. Sometimes the caves poke up and are visible from the surface. The underground is divided into two layers:
- The first layer starts from the surface and continues down to y = 25. The underground here is made of Baron Stone. Varsium Ore and Baronyte Ore generate within this layer.
- The second layer starts at y = 24 and continues to the bottom of the world. The underground down here is made of Hellstone. Blazium Ore generates at this level.
Lava lakes can be found in some of the world's deepest parts, below y = 11. Dimensional Fabric generates along the bottom of the world, in place of bedrock.
All structures can be found on the surface.
