Ancient Golems are hostile melee mobs that spawn naturally in the Overworld.

Spawning[edit | edit source]

Ancient Golems spawn naturally in plains-type biomes in the Overworld.

They will only spawn during the day, and like most other mobs; their spawning can be prevented by placing torches or other lighting blocks nearby to raise the light level above 7.

Behavior[edit | edit source]

Ancient Golems are melee mobs that will follow targets both on land and in water. They will initially attempt to avoid getting into the water where possible, but will go in if they find no other path to their target.

They are aggressive, and will attack nearby players within 16 blocks without provocation. If attacked by another entity, they will retaliate and continue targeting that entity.

Staying outside of their targeting range will prevent them from attacking or targeting entities.

Bestiary entry[edit | edit source]

Made by unknown creators, Ancient Golems can occasionally be found roaming the overworld.

Due to their age, it is still unknown how their logical operation works, but either through failure or malicious intent, they are aggressive towards humans and seem uninterested in anything else.

They do not possess any weapons, so when attacking they just ram their rusting iron body into their target.
